MEDICAL AND SOCIAL INFORMATION:
We compile a medical and social history on the birth mother and sometimes on the birth father, which is submitted to the adoptive family. We provide pre and post adoption counseling services for birth mothers, as well as information and referral to available community resources.

CONSENTS:
Florida adoption statute state that consents for adoption cannot be signed earlier than 48 hours after delivery, unless the mother is being discharged earlier by her doctor. For a child under six (6) months of age, the consent for adoption is irrevocable from the moment it is signed and can only be overturned based on fraud or duress. If the birth father is known, we attempt to locate him to see if he will sign consent to the adoption. If the birth father is unknown, we do a diligent search and, if necessary, publish notice in the newspapers to terminate his rights.
WAITING PERIOD:
The waiting period for an adoption will vary for each case. Generally, the average waiting period to be matched with a birth mother is l8-24 months. The majority of the children placed for adoption will be newborn.
COSTS:
Costs for domestic adoption can vary significantly. Typically, however, a domestic adoption will cost $18,000 to $25,000, including, for example, legal costs, court fees, advertising, and birth mother's living expenses.
